On 5 June 2023, EtonHouse International School Orchard held its inaugural A-Level graduation ceremony and dinner, celebrating the achievements of our pioneering Year 13 graduates. Together with their parents, educators, and peers, we marked this momentous milestone, honouring their years of hard work, growth, and accomplishments as they embark on an exciting new chapter.

This special occasion also commemorated a significant achievement for EtonHouse: the completion of the first A-Level cohort at our Orchard campus. The event was a heartfelt celebration of both the graduates’ learning journey and the community that supported them along the way.

Guest of Honour, Mr. Ng Yi-Xian, Group CEO and Executive Director of EtonHouse International Education Group, addressed the gathering with a powerful message about the importance of lifelong learning. “To be future-ready is to be a lifelong learner. As we all know, the world keeps changing every day, and the only thing we can do is adapt, because change is an ever-constant.” His inspiring words reminded the graduates to embrace challenges and remain resilient in the face of uncertainty.

Principal, Robert Randall, took the stage to share his pride in the Class of 2023 and their readiness for the future. “So today, graduates, you are setting off on your next adventure. You are beginning, and what makes beginnings so thrilling is the unknown. Time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your inner voice. And most importantly, speaking from experience, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. You have graduated from EtonHouse International School Orchard; you can do, and I am confident you will do, anything you put your mind to.”

Adding a personal touch to the evening, Year 13 Student Representative, Lara Mommen, delivered a heartfelt speech on behalf of the graduating class. “I also want to take this moment to recognise and thank all our teachers, past and present. Everyone in this room has supported us on our journey to become the well-rounded, risk-taking, and open-minded individuals we are today. We now feel much more confident and prepared to face difficult university courses.” Lara’s words captured the gratitude and camaraderie shared among the cohort as they reflected on their transformative experiences.

The evening was filled with warmth, pride, and celebration as educators, families, and friends came together to cheer for the Class of 2023. Their journey through EtonHouse has prepared them to take on the world with confidence, curiosity, and courage.
